We are implementing a new total triage system to better serve you. Starting 1st October 2025, all doctor appointment requests must be submitted via the NHS app or on our practice website: www.thefairfieldpractice.co.uk. For appointments with nurses and other healthcare professionals like practice pharmacist, first contact physiotherapist and mental health nurse, please call us or visit the practice in person - our friendly reception team will be happy to help you book these appointments.

The Pharmacy First service builds on the NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service which has run since October 2019. The consultation service enables patients to be referred into community pharmacy for a minor illness.

Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals and can offer clinical advice and medicines for all sorts of minor ailments, with a same day consultation at a time that suits you and free prescription for any of the below mentioned conditions.

Patients are now able to refer themselves to a Pharmacy for minor illnesses, such as:
